Fremont Realty Capital is the real estate merchant banking arm of Fremont Group. The firm originates, structures, closes and manages private equity investments in public and unique individual real estate projects, programmatic real estate investment vehicles and private real estate operating companies.  Our goal since formation in 1997 has been to provide our investors with superior risk-adjusted returns.

Fremont Realty Capital is led by Claude Zinngrabe, Steven Karpf, and Matthew Reidy – who each have, on average, more than 25 years of real estate and principal investing experience.

Prior to co-founding Fremont Realty Capital, Mr. Zinngrabe, Jr. founded and headed Prudential Home Building Investors, Inc., and served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Real Estate Investors,  the institutional real estate investment management division of the Prudential Insurance Company of America.

Prior to joining Fremont Realty Capital, Mr. Karpf was co-founder and President of Karpf, Zarrilli & Co., Incorporated, a New York-based real estate investment and advisory firm and was a long time executive at Eastdil Realty, a New York-based real estate investment banking firm, where he served as an Executive Vice President, a member of the Management Committee and Board of Directors, and senior shareholder.

Mr. Reidy joined Fremont Group in 1986 and has played a significant role in developing its real estate investment business in a variety of capacities. Prior to joining Fremont Realty Capital in 1997, Mr. Reidy held positions within Fremont Group’s direct real estate portfolio, leveraged buyouts, corporate finance, treasury and strategic planning, and reporting groups.  Previously he held positions in business development, venture capital and strategic planning with Burroughs Computer in the U.S. and England.

Fremont Realty Capital also boasts a highly talented team of real estate investment professionals with diverse backgrounds in the real estate and financial services industries. Their efforts add even greater depth to the vast experience and breadth of relationships Fremont Realty Capital’s senior leadership has developed. Additionally, Fremont Realty Capital’s in-house legal, accounting and asset management expertise provides support to the firm’s investment activities.
