Mr. Blackie joined Fremont Realty Capital in 2006 and is actively involved
in the asset management of real estate private equity investments. He is
actively involved on the Management Committees of some of Fremont Realty
Capital’s office and land investments.
Prior to joining Fremont Realty Capital, Mr. Blackie was Director of
Capital Markets for Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc. in Seattle, responsible
for the company’s debt capital formation work, international hedging
strategies and investor relations, covering SEC reporting and communications
with the securities industry analyst community. Previously, Mr. Blackie
was the Manager of Corporate Finance for Shurgard Europe in Brussels with
primary responsibilities for capital formation and equity partner relations. Mr.
Blackie has also worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as a Senior Associate
in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group, based in London.
Mr. Blackie received a Bachelor of Management Studies with first class
honors from the University of Waikato, New Zealand and is a Chartered Management
Accountant (ACMA).
