Mr. Newland joined Fremont Realty Capital in 2005 and is primarily responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate private equity investments. Mr. Newland also participates with the Management Committees of some of Fremont Realty Capital’s investments in the Senior Housing, Lodging, Retail and Office sectors.

Prior to joining Fremont Realty Capital, Mr. Newland was an Associate at Hampshire Equity Partners, a leveraged buyout fund based in New York City, where he executed and managed private equity investments. Previously, Mr. Newland was an investment banking Analyst within the Mergers & Acquisition Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Mr. Newland received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma.
